Pipe Freezing

Leaky pipe? Broken valve? Need to hold back a storage tank but you still want to carry on business as usual? Pipe freezing may be the answer. You'll save time and money by eliminating the draining process and related problems. DiHydro isolates the problem area making your project less costly and hassle free.

Our team of special service experts eliminates the hassle of building shutdown by using the safe and proven engineering technique of pipe freezing. DiHydro freezes pipe from 3/8" to 42" in diameter, above or even below the ground!

In pipe freezing, steel jackets are attached to isolate the problem area. Liquid nitrogen is then pumped into the jackets creating ice plugs within the pipe that hold back the water. The defective pipe or valve is then repaired or replaced. Once the maintenance work is completed, the steel jackets are removed and the ice plugs melt away in a matter of minutes. DiHydro offers a three-minute video that shows you how the pipe freezing technique works.
